Chronic pain can impact every moment of life. The physicians and staff of The PainCare Center understand this. We listen to our patients very carefully. We want to find the source of the pain and treat it with gentle, comprehensive care. Medication can sometimes improve the quality of life for someone suffering from chronic pain, but medication alone may not treat the actual cause of the pain. Our minimally invasive procedures do just that, treat the actual cause, and require very short recovery times. With some treatments, patients are relieved of pain within just a few days. And with physical therapy, patients can often return to their level of pre-injury activities.
Our office strives to coordinate care with surgeons, family physicians, neurologists, rheumatologists, chiropractors, psychologists, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care for our patients.
The Importance of Board Certification
Diagnosing and treating pain is a highly specialized field of medicine. Board certification is an assurance of a physician's experience, knowledge and skills, and indicates that a physician has an up-to-date understanding of procedures and treatment options.
Dr. Martin J. Andrews is board certified by both the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Anesthesiology. He has been treating patients in Central Ohio for over 15 years. Dr. Andrews is past Chairman of both the Department of Anesthesiology at Fairfield Medical Center and that institution's pain committee. He is trained in virtually all minimally invasive pain procedures, including spinal cord stimulator and intrathecal pump implementation. Dr. Andrews has also served as anesthesia team leader on numerous medical missions to Latin America with Operation Smile, providing anesthesia for cleft lip and palate repairs in children.
